Story of a #CA who moved from 250 sq ft to 1800 sq ft office It was summer of 1985 when he was born in a village (Samraniya) of Baran district of Rajasthan. He is the eldest child in his family. Till class 9th life was cool and normal for him like a normal child. He wanted to become a pilot but his mother wanted him to become a doctor. When he came in 10th life took many fold changes, something happened (emotionally) which forced him to think that his first target is to go to Mumbai and to become something (So he decided to become a Chartered Accountant). However as always happens in life, it does not give you everything on a platter, you have to earn and face the destiny. He was preparing for his exams but his father faced a major accident. Since he was the eldest, he had to handle the business of his father whilst he was in bed for around 3 months. This incident brought two problems in front of him, financial and lapse of time in board exams. However he passed the exams (with 48% only). This again gave a chance to people around him to stop him going out for studies and people started saying that this boy does not care for his career. However with the support of his father, he went to Baran for his further studies. In his childhood, he was a “seedha” child so his school colleagues used to tease and bully him. One day he beat one colleague and ran to his home. However he came back after persuasion from the same person (now they are very good friends). In 2002, he moved to Kota for his B. Com. and study of CA. He was a very ambitious child so he opted English medium and joined an English coaching class in Kota but again he had to face continuous teasing from his fellow students because he was unable to speak in English. However, because of his eagerness to learn, He became a favourite student of his teacher Mr. Arun Bazari. Meanwhile he cleared his PE 1. During the exams of PE 2, he was so much under pressure of clearing the exams that he even wrote the wrong roll number in the Audit paper. This was the time when he was studying for his second group of PE2, Akrati (his wife) came into his life and they fell in love. He cleared his PE 2 in 2006 and landed in Mumbai on 14 February 2006. He was under the impression that he had fulfilled his dream and Mumbai is ready to welcome him. But as always happens in films, he gave a number of interviews but was not selected for articleship and this process continued for two months. It was the time of bank audits in April 2006, he went to SGCO and sat on reception and told the receptionist that he will not leave and they have to take him as an article, otherwise he had to go back to his hometown. Luckily they had the vacancy and this is how he started with his articleship. He had the zeal to learn and was a very quick learner that is why he became favourite of his principles. Here he mentioned that due to language he had to face difficulty everywhere in his studies, articleship (such as he was not even selected) but if you have will power no one can stop you from fulfilling your dreams. His only mantra is “I can and I will” this was written everywhere in his books. He completed two years of articleship and then did one year of industrial trainee from one MNC. Finally the day came when he became CA Paras Jain in 2009 and joined one start-up firm as Partner. During 2008 to 2013, his family came into financial problems. Due to which his wife suggested that we need to start our own venture. This is the only way to clear off everything and make a bright future. They decided to start their own consulting company in 2013 and started a Quasi CFO firm “Grrowwide Business Solutions LLP”. He took his favourite article from his earlier firm Umashankar. They were three people when they started. Starting from a dedicated office space at his residence then they took rented commercial space of approx. 250 square-foot then gradually with growth in operations and client-base, they moved the office from the rented premises to their own office of approx. 1,800 square-feet in 2019. With the blessings of everyone and the dedication and commitment towards work they are going to complete 7 years of a wonderful journey of Grrowwide in Oct 2020 and still counting. Today they are a team of around 70 people with offices in Mumbai and Indore. The positive affirmation which helped Paras throughout his journey is “I can and I will”.
