Story of a middle class girl who is go getter and a fighter against injustice Contested Election Won It and Set an example for lot of females Dream it and World is yours

Shweta was born in an educated middle class family wherein her father was working in Indian Navy and was also a National champion in weight lifting and her mother was a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya and has 2 siblings. Shweta did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya and her graduation in B. Com(Hons) from ARSD College,Delhi University. By profession, she is a Chartered Accountant. She did her
articeship from a Delhi based CA firm. She is married to a Chartered Accountant.

Her Strong determination and will power was so strong that she overcame all odds while giving her exams only. When she was pursuing CA Finals, she met with a major road accident. She had belt on her back, collar on her neck and was not in the position to sit for 3 hours continuously but had determination to become a CA . She was given a separate seat in the examination center where she had given her exam
sometimes standing and some times sitting. And Finally she became CA Shweta Pathak.

Then she worked with MNCs and later moved to practice.

Shweta always remembers an advice which was given to her by her friend when she decided to contest NIRC elections. Her friend told her that whenever a female tries to climb the ladders of success, everyone tries to pull her legs and tries to distract her. Shweta’s friend advised her to keep calm in such situations and be focused on the target so that you can break the glass ceiling and make way for other females too for whom you would become inspiration. Shweta completely
followed her advice and with her strong determination, won the NIRC elections in the very first attempt despite having no political background, no godfather, not being part of any lobby and without throwing election parties.
Shweta Still remembers the positive and negative advises and comments when she started with door to door campaigning. A person told her that it is male dominated society and nobody would prefer to choose a woman. Even hearing this Shweta didn’t get demoralized but increased her efforts to break such patriarchy so that more women can dare to dream to come into the leadership roles. She still remembers the words of a person who told her
“Agar daudna hai to keval jeetne ke liye hi daudna hai, sirf daudne ke liye nahi daudna”.
She remembers many people used to ask her how come your
husband gave you permission to contest elections. Hearing such questions, Shweta used to think when both of us are equally qualified, equally competent, then where is
the question of permission from each other. It is only a matter of healthy discussion among a family when somebody wants to do something. Many people tried to discourage/ demotivate her. She was threatened too by someone for not filing nomination papers. Some people tried to do negative
campaigning so that a strong independent female could not come forward to break the glass ceiling. In such situation too, she did not lose her heart, rather she used to motivate herself remembering the advise given by her friend and the positive words and suggestions received from some people. She always used to say it doesn’t matter whatever other people think of or talk of you till the time your heart and your
soul knows that you are right. Also she used to motivate her by remembering a movie dialogue which she saw in her childhood which was
“Jab log aapke bare mein baatein kerne lagein to samajh jao ki tarakki per ho”

She is the only female elected from Northern India and is inspiration to a lot of women and youth and is also admired by seniors. Her courage, determination, dedication and versatile personality impress everyone. Shweta served as Vice
Chairperson of Northern India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 2019-20 and currently serving NICASA of NIRC of ICAI.

Her work got recognized and she has been awarded by many awards. She has also been selected as an Influence under Chartered Accountant category by Womennovator. For her women empowerment initiatives and social activism, she
was awarded with “DELHI RATNA” in All India Conference of Intellectuals, “Prerna Pratibha Samman” by Saksham and Nari Ek Shaan: Icon International 2020 award.

She is not only a positive and self motivated person but also a source of motivation for others and a true believer of

“ḳhudi ko kar buland itna ki har taqdir se pahle ḳhuda
bande se ḳhud poochhe bata teri raza kya hai.
