Story of a CA who had inferiority complex due to language now a source of inspiration to many students

I was born on 2nd October 1989, in a middle class family, My Parents live in Aklera ,District Jhalawar (Rajasthan) , Father (Shri Purushottam Khandelwal)  is an Reputed Advocate and Mother (Smt.  Vijaya Khandelwal) is a housewife.  Have 2 elder sisters.

From childhood I had a dream to be popular and to make my family proud. Although I was very good in studies but very notorious from the beginning, So Parents were not having a lot of expectations from me.

Did schooling till 10th from My hometown (9th & 10 th from Government school) .

Due to excellent grades in 10th, people advised me and pressured me to take either science or math’s or to appear in IIT or Medical entrance examinations but I was attracted towards commerce and decided to go with it. (I was the only person in my entire friend circle who opted commerce).

Did 12th from kota and came to Indore in 2006 to pursue CA from Nahata Professional Academy.

Being from a small town and from Hindi medium background always felt Inferior in front of the Indore’s crowd and sometimes I felt that I am not capable enough to compete with them.

But by the passage of time I decided to face this challenge and did struggle with my studies. I started studying from English medium reference book with the help of a dictionary. So technically I had more dictionary turnout pages than my text books.

Cleared CA CPT in  with distinction , Doubled the efforts in CA Inter and cleared CA Inter both groups in first attempt  and then I realised that “ कोई भी लक्ष्य मनुष्य के साहस से बड़ा नहीं , हारा वही जो लड़ा नहीं !! “

Right after appearing in the exam of CA IPCC I registered myself for CS inter to pursue CS also , so that If I could not clear CA at least I could have  CS degree.

But fortunately I Cleared CS Inter also so in the year 2010 I was in CA CS Final with my Internship.

Went Mumbai for Internship but I didn’t feel well  over there so I came back to Indore after 2 months.

Continued Internship from Indore.

It was very tough to manage office and studies for finals that too  with hindi medium but hard work  and struggle of day-night paid off.  By seeing my dedication and hard work but lack of confidence in me. My  Mother, my  source of inspiration  stood strong with me and advised me to appear in the exams without any fear , when I used to write in the exams my mother used to sit for worship for 3 hours.

Fortunately Cleared CA Final in Nov.2011 and CS Final in June-2012 without any failure.

At the age of 22 years I became CA & CS. And decided not to opt for a job  and to start my own practice in Indore.  Struggled very hard for 3-4 years to get some work, by the time I started teaching CA CS Students with a very small coaching institute. Taught 3-4 students in the first two-three batches. Got popularity among CA CS Students till 2015.

In 2015 Joined Resonance as a faculty, Seeing my dedication toward work, popularity among students and management skills  In 2016 the organisation promoted me directly as a Centre head.

Got married in 2016 with Ankita Khandelwal , she is Also CS and from Ahmedabad.

2018 was a turning year for my life, I left Resonance and fortunately got the opportunity to Join Nahata Professional Academy.   So I Joined the team as a teammate who taught me in CA.

Apart from teaching I am also a working partner of SPARK & Associates (A leading Practicing Chartered Accountant Firm) head of the Corporate Consultancy wing of the firm.

Lockdown period proved one of the most efficient time periods for me , I found the time to complete training and self study for Registered valuer examination and  cleared the same in first attempt and  completed a course from Harvard University on the topic “ Entrepreneurship in emerging economies”.

 I would like to say

It’s your will power and confidence which make you outstanding not your background.

Language is not  a barrier if you have a zeal you can have a command on it
